In this universe, Dany IS the Avatar! According to Jonah, anyway, but I'd like to agree—only she can bring balance to the world!

Or they moved up to the League with the big kids. Or they went rogue. Or they gave up on the superhero thing altogether. Who knows?

Yeah, Icon and Static get no love. I was shocked that Icon and Rocket were even in YJ, and would be thrilled if Static shows up. If they throw in some Static cameos and get the humor level back up, I just might enjoy this season.

Spider-Man isn't anime-like; it's just got ADHD. But most kids are just assumed to have ADHD, and that's how children's programming works these days.

I'm really loving the book. I had mixed feelings before I bought it because while I loved Pyongyang, Jerusalem is personal. I'm Jewish; I've been there (on brief trips). Most importantly, I have really nice Ultra-Orthodox cousins who live there, and I get nervous when people portray Israelis or Ultra-Orthodox Jews in

I really like Ava/White Tiger. I'd usually be disappointed in a show that only had 2-3 female characters, especially since 2 of them, MJ and Aunt May, rarely get screentime, but Ava has such a strong leader-type personality that I don't mind it much. Contrasting White Tiger's and Spider-Man's strengths in this ep was

It gave me the impression that Arya wants Tywin dead, and Arya has ways of getting what she wants…

When Dany said "Fire is power!" I added: "Yeah, that's what Ozai thought!"

I really liked the first season, and I loved all the characters. Well, at least Aqualad had great waterbending-style moves, and everyone else was well developed and interesting. The bromance and humor between Robin and Kid Flash was especially good.

Late to the party, but I want to note a few things about the ep:

I like Azula better, but I think Amon needs a few more episodes under his belt to match her ( not best her, though. No one beats Azula in the villain department).

Uh, customs, right? Young Justice is awesome! They do some crazy shit on that show.
*SPOILERS*****

OMG, You have Mysterious Anime Illness! Nooo!

I've been looking, but I can't find confirmation for that anywhere. Link, please?

Well, there are lots of Spirits in the Spirit World, and they get nasty when they're mad (see the Panda Spirit from A:TLA Book 1) so Amon could have made a deal with any number of "devils." I just like Koh, and he has the biggest beef with the Avatar (unlike, say, Yue).

The Televisionwithoutpity.com forums are pretty good, too. They have tons of rules that keep annoying teens away from their excellent "Cartoons and Kids Shows" subforum.

Yup, Mako's backstory was totes ripped off of Batman. He would have become Ferretman, but he had a baby bro to take care of.

I'm rooting for Old!Zutara now!

Theory: Amon made a deal with a disgruntled spirit (perhaps Koh) in order to get energybending powers. Korra's true adversary will be in the Spirit World, and she'll have to go there in order to strip Amon of his evil powers and balance things out.
Discuss!

I'm totally stealing that line. Nightowls and vampires like myself have known that morning is evil for centuries, we just didn't have a good way to put it!
