Just to note, it’s always been Nintendo of Japan who has had the “wholesome” label. Even back in the 90's Nintendo of America had plenty of stories about scummy they could be.

That’s a tough one, since the artist would presumably be made whole, but it would do nothing to discourage it from happening again. If anything, it may incentivize this kind of asset theft, as they’d see it as an easy tool to put pressure on the creators in order to take whatever they wanted.

Also - it was just after an overpass and there was that big moving truck immediately in front of him.  Guaranteed the air was all kinds of funky where he was putting down.

A busy freeway can make it’s own air currents, could be he got down to what’s usually ground effect height and discovered a nice breezy vehicle wake tailwind screwed that up badly.
