Certain classes have those sounds play more often. On one run I heard the girl who had it make that noise every 2-3 seconds for the entire 10 minutes I was in there. It was soul-draining.

Exactly. My alts are usually on cruise control and only doing enough to get them through the MSQ and then to 70 on their main class, when I use Charlotte to make their “starter end-game” gear for them. I haven’t even maxed everything to 70 on Charlotte, so maxing them all on an alt is madness.

Well, if you want a break from the maximum efficiency Heather I’d suggest breaking it up with hunt bills and daily Kojin/Ananta beast tribe quests. Depending on your level it’s worth about 4.0-4.5m combined XP per day for the lot of them, and it gets you out and about. Plus you can hit an XP-boosted FATE here or there…

Their DPS rotation is very easy, but for those who parse (I don’t) my numbers at my very best are apparently ‘average’. That was without raid-wide buffs, so I was probably at least on the high side when I went through my full rotation on that dummy while they checked my numbers.

I’ve always mained Bard, which is why I’m weirded out when some people say ‘Bard is the hardest DPS’ when what I assume they really mean is ‘the hardest DPS class to optimize for maximum damage’. I don’t get why they think that, really, but they do.

I just finished the Ivalice raid series in FFXIV, so I’m feeling this FFXII mood right now! It’s also my first time finish a raid series in any MMO, so I’m really pleased with myself!
