It also depends on the ammunition (even down to the grains), the weapon, the suppressor, and even ambient conditions. Some can actually be fairly quiet. Still loud enough to hear, but under 90 decibels.

And I've always felt kind of weird receiving one. It's not my place to make decisions for anyone, and everyone has their own likes, dislikes, preferences etc., but I always felt like performing that act must feel a bit strange if you weren't _totally_ into the moment.
