It's the first FR application of this engine (it's used in the Lincoln MKC, but tweaked for the 'Stang), with an air-to-air intercooler and 18 psi of boost. Ford is quick to point out that those power figures are gleaned from running 93 octane, which I don't get out in California (stuck with 91-octane piss fuel), but

How do you even type "I'm glad I'm not into RWD Coupes" without the computer autocorrecting it?

One thing that the 5.0 can never do is lose weight over the front axle though. Nice thing about the EcoBoost is that it can be 100+ pounds lighter, and most of that is over the front axle.

There's definitely more potential in that turbo 4. I guess by the time you do at least a tune, intake, DP, exhaust, you're still probably $4-5 grand under the price of a stock GT. Still down by about 60hp but not bad.

Mustang GT 6-speed + Performance Pack + Recaros = just over $37k. All you need, nothing you don't.

Nice review. I'm from Europe, and would love to buy an Ecoboost convertible. I really don't need a V8 in my country where petrol is almost 6.5 USD for 1 US gallon. If some business stuff I work on turns out like I would love it to (but now it's just a wish:( )... There's me with a new car sometime next year.

Its in the works...

I get the impression that it's not so much that it sounds bad, there just isn't enough sound . . . .

There are plenty of keyless start, manual gearbox cars... Keyless just means you press a button instead of turning the key, with the fob in your pocket. It required the clutch pressed in to make it work.

The new Mustang looks great, but as with prior generations, the headlights are too far apart which looks a bit weird.

I wasn't a Mustang fan until I drove this. (2011 Mustang RTR) I reaaaallly hope they do a new version of this with the new generation. It was the "M3" of the Mustang lineup, with the 420hp GT V8 and pretty much every Ford Racing bolt-on, bolted on. It handled quite well and once you got used to the mass, was very

I'm disappointed in the reviews of the Ecoboost thus far. I will take this one with a grain of salt, as it's a non-PP and auto. I'll definitely be looking at the PP 6-speed down the line, when the rush is over. Very curious. I'm also very curious to see what the tuners can do with this motor. Word on the street

I configured an Ecoboost Performance Pack with manual for $28000ish. That's the steal for me. I'll give up some power for MPGs and less weight up front.

Nope. But there were at least two dozen of us running around LA

[Full Disclosure: Ford wanted me to drive the new Mustang so badly they flew me to LA, put me up in the same hotel as Michael Bolton, and plied me with cheap rum and gourmet hot dogs. I didn't stop pestering the turbo four's engineer until someone handed me a rice crispy treat made out of Cinnamon Toast Crunch – a

You lost me at Pumpkin Spice Latte.

On a scale of Challenger Hellcat (pure muscle) to Ariel Atom (pure sports car)...where would you rate the new V8 performance pack 'stang?

Hmm...

This car, in Guard Green, with a V6 or a V8 and a stick, will go down as a classic for me. I'll eventually (20 years from now) buy one and use it as a "beater".
