Ya I was very disappointed, my dad and I went out test driving cars one day and drove one right after an Audi TT. It felt like a fucking lump of mashed potatoes.

My dads friend picked one up for 12 grand with 200k he let me drive it and it was definitely a bucket list experience. Good luck finding one that's not crazy money these days!
