My two takes are these (and they sound like bitching, but I don’t mean it quite that way):

At this point I’m willing to say that Wesley’s arc was probably the more successful of the two. If only because when they did pull that mind-wipe a)it didn’t really feel it was out of desperation to restore the Angel/Wesley relationship since I think they had reached a bit of stability at some point b)he did

AoS smoothly taking my Fitz-Simmons feelings from “Oh are they a couple?” to “I love that they’re just friends, please never go the trite couple route” to “It’s important to my happiness that they get married and have lots of sex and babies” is one of the most impressive things about the show.

  • Fitz may say that young Jemma’s bedtime story is poorly written, but its charming illustrations deserve to, at the very least, make their way to T-shirts.

the whole thing turns into an a kid’s adventure film

I mean, we’re commenting via Kinja. Not even Brooker could come up with something as dystopian as Kinja.

*watches Daisy and Simmons trip balls in an alien casino while searching for Daisy’s dead boyfriend and his time-travelling robot friend*

This one reminded me of one of my favorite Farscape episodes, “Scratch ‘N Sniff”, from the 3rd season (a time when that show was at the peak of its powers and not afraid to go completely off-format — six episodes earlier they did a super-creepy horror episode called “Eat Me”) and while I agree it’s kind of early in

Then by the same token Kara isn't an idiot either because she only did what the writers wanted her to do.

I mean, this WAS, objectively speaking, a much bigger scoop than the Watergate thing, and involved the reporter breaking the story almost being killed multiple times to keep her quiet.

I mean, Alex making stupid decisions is literally her MO. Remember, in the first episode she wanted Kara to let the plane she herself was riding on to crash and explode just so Kara wouldn’t use her powers in public. Of course Alex is going to tell Kara to do the wrong thing.

She could argue that she entered the coordinates assuming the team would agree. It's not a good look, but she could argue there was no time to enter in New coordinates. ... But the other three are still going to be kinda pissed.

Why do you go out of your way to be so joylessly pedantic? You’re always jumping into these threads to ask why adults have visceral reactions to good storytelling when the obvious answer is that they’re enjoying themselves and want to share their reactions with the like-minded. Your mean-spirited condemnations are the

Well they’re like 1/3 or 2/5 through filming at this point.

So Piper has spent a year in space searching for Fitz. That’s why she couldn’t breach back to Supergirl’s universe this season. I was wondering about that.

but commenting on an online fictional tv show thread is fine eh?

Yeah, it was a dick move.

I do find the execution different enough from the traditional CW romance formula that I’m intrigued where it’ll go - I don’t buy that either of them are crazy for each other so much as they’re good friends and the people around them have said “hey you guys are good together, you should hook up” and they kind of talk

Mona worked so much better as a side-character. She’s so annoying on the team, and her “Wolfie” form is such horrible CGI and rubber prosthetic, which is sad because Grodd and King Shark look so good.
