Yep. And a bunch of traffic cams are CDMA and have dog shit bandwidth. Add in that every person in the area was probably live streaming, taking pics/videos, etc. and the bandwidth gets further degraded.

Source: I work for a DOT supporting traffic cameras.

You could, maybe, quit taking dangerous shit boxes on long distance drives? Your fleet not only endangers your fellow motorists but also seems to displace an egregious amount of toxic fluids into the environment. Stop it.

Resilient.

There is a pearl white 93 with black interior for sale a few miles from me. 86k miles and looks pretty good. But... $10k!

Don’t forget the CRX and Impulse from that era.

Only slightly less cringe inducing was my mother-in-law’s query about windmills when she accompanied our family on a trip to Ireland - she asked how they were powered. When I told her “uh... by the wind”, she didn’t believe me and insisted they were powered by, rather than producing, electricity. She’s also a Trump

Our old 4.0 ZJ got like 17mpg. It was a pig.

I engage in some sanity drives a few times per week. Audiobook doesn’t listen to itself!

My Silverado has a 34 gallon tank so I haven’t touched the handle of a gas pump in quite awhile. Gas around here is $1.34/gal. Waiting for it to drop further before I top off the tank.

Martinsville Speedway is also a drive through testing site.

Those examples are all beat to shit, super high mileage, broken or some combination of the three. Not exactly great comps.

I used to own an ‘88 735i. I paid $600 for it. Granted, it was an auto and not nearly as nice condition-wise as today’s example but, yeah, this price is insane. I will say it was great highway cruiser and I actually sort of miss it. I drove it for three years and sold it for the same $600 I paid for it. $8500 is

I can’t match 42, but I’ve owned 23 vehicles so far (I’m 48 y/o). I had a bit of a *problem* years ago. At one point, between my first marriage and my current marriage, I concurrently owned and drove the following: heavily modified 74 Bronco, stock 77 Bronco, stock 94 Prelude Si 4WS, heavily modified 86 Daytona Z C/S

I’ll echo a few other comments... shifting left handed is not a big deal. I rented a manual transmission mini-van in Ireland a couple of years ago and had the “shifting with the left hand” thing sorted out before I got out of the rental car parking lot.

NOVA is terrible. And, the cliche holds true... any car with a Maryland plate should be viewed as negligent at best, hostile at worst. Fuck that place now and forever.

Sincerely,

I bought a new 1991 Ranger, single cab, 4x2, 5spd 4cyl back in the day it was one of the best vehicles I’ve owned. All the utility I needed and none that I didn’t. I would absolutely buy a small, cheap pickup for commuting and utility. I currently daily a 2003 Silverado (4.8l, 2wd, long bed, single cab) and would love

When I was in middle school, our neighbors owned a Pacer, a Gremlin and a Matador. They also claimed to work for the CIA. The CIA claim made them appear way less bat shit crazy than owning three AMC products.

All that unsecured stuff in the back (floor jack mainly, smh) is an invitation to a Final Destination scene. But, alas, I have read too many posts from David which demonstrate his determined lack of common sense.

Just curious, where in VA do you reside? I’m also a life-long Virginian. Spent my formative years in NOVA before moving to SW VA in the early 90's. I’ve seen many posts about how unforgiving VA traffic laws and the subsequent VSP enforcement efforts are but I haven’t had too many issues with the VSP in my 32 years of

I’ve seen exactly two of them. Each just as ugly as the other.

Agreed. If this thing was on the east coast I’d already be on my way with an envelope full of cash.
