Dude these things are never going to be used in any conventional circumstance.

"No longer at the mercy of the reptile brain, we can change ourselves. Think of the possibilities." - Carl Sagan.

ok :)

But it's just a rendering of a made up product...

Why are you raging over a spec concept put out by an uninvolved designer?

A fair point. I know it's a pretty thin line.

fair point!

If someone is holding a smartphone, pointing it toward you, and looking at the screen, you can halfway conclude that you are having your picture taken. Google Glass is far more surreptitious.

That is endlessly disappointing to me.

I highly doubt that oil rig monitoring and failsafes run on windows95, man. Just the notion of that seems really incongruous to me.

Yes, if you download you are infringing. This is kind of a crazy question.

Misses the point. The systems on the oil rig have no reason to be able to run sound and video- and the workers have no reason to plug flash drives into those systems. I can see no practical reason as to why those systems would be able to run sound at all.

Granted I'm totally ignorant to how these systems work- but why and how would rig systems be coming in to contact with this stuff at all?

Seemed a little aggressive.

Who cares if music is "hard?"

No. $30-40 more than they should cost, based on the competition. People like them because they pump up the bass, but don't realize they're paying a premium for something that could be done for free in an in-app EQ. It's for a low-information consumer.

Everyoneelsetip: Unusable.

You're right, they look fine at 4k. And cannot be streamed.

Great way of putting it.

Deal!
