I drove solo from Oregon to Iowa and back a few years ago. I took my time — a week each direction — and though it wasn't my first cross country road trip, it was the first time I didn't have to come to any consensus on where to stop, what to eat, where to stay. I just did it. It was spectacular. I'd recommend it to

He put together probably the most realistic and definitive Best Albums Of 1967 list of anyone:

SNL has sucked since you were in college.

Technically this was Eugene, but yeah.

More like derp in the woods.

They used to all drive Subaru wagons. Nowadays, I'm not sure the demographic can be generalized; but the two who work in my office drive a Q5 and a Grand Cherokee, so maybe the stereotype has just moved upmarket.

my last two cars — a 2002 Benz and a 2011 VW — have both had RSW. They have worked just about perfectly in both cases.

VW went back to air cooled alternators for the Touareg with the 2011 redesign. Of course it's stillprettybad for any older than that. Two grand for an alternator is my idea of no fun.

they dropped air suspension on the Touareg starting with the 2011 model year (what we call "t3"). Otherwise, you are correct. Get the Exec model and you have to find a very loaded x5 to match the feature set (and the x5's sunroof can't match the Treg pano top).

you have to be careful when selecting even the executive trim level on Tregs. The dealer book says all execs have the pano sunroof, but there are a lot of them out there without pano — these were all fleet/rental cars, apparently.

I've been driving a 2011 Touareg vr6 for a year now, bought as a CPO with 41k from the original selling dealership. Previous owner had all her work done at the dealer, and there was no evidence of frequent service calls, so I rolled the dice. It's only been in the shop three times — once for the 48k service ($180),

Sandler's never exactly been rated very highly as an actor, except for Punch Drunk Love. So it doesn't make much sense to call him "overrated."

Hoge also said Haloti Ngata was a horrible pick and that the Ravens wasted their first round pick on him. As a pundit, once you reach a certain level, you don't get called out for your errors, as long as they're relatively infrequent.

And Kessler may have earlier said he's coming back to U$C next season, but he is still "exploring his options". A poor QB class this season may make it worth his while to jump, especially considering how well he played in November. http://www.ocregister.com/articles/kessl…

Mariota received zero hype from his school. The AD specifically asked if it would be OK with him to mount an official Heisman campaign last summer, and Mariota said no thanks.

Key to responsible sports trolling: Ensure the metric you're using complies with the narrative you're selling. Want to pump up an SEC player? Use Sagarin's ranking.

Maybe I'm showing my age, but I like that interior, wood and all. Doesn't quite fit my image of what a M5 interior should look like, though.

if it's only valid until the game ends, then please explain why if the coach doesn't shake the other coach's hand after the game, it's considered "unsportsmanlike".

someday I will understand why that kind of behavior can lead to a penalty during the game, but once the game ends? Be as big an asshole troll as you want. If it's unsportsmanlike, why is the definition so arbitrarily drawn as "while a game clock is running?"

did it have a pano roof? I ask because I was shopping for a used Treg last year, specifically for an Executive model, which has the awesome full width pano roof standard — unless it's a Hertz rental; no sunroofs on those, at least not the ones I've seen for sale.
