Ah, a rare Jalopnik article interesting enough to want to read but gets a resounding nope due to slide show. Jalopnik is not long for the world if this keeps up.

I came here to say the same thing. Hatchbacks are more ubiquitous than ever in the US. They are larger and just go by a different name now.

“Hatchback”

Jalopnik: “We’re not including any fastbacks”

If a rear hatch door is the common element, nearly every SUV, wagon and crossover is also a hatchback.

Car was unstoppable

I don’t think there’s a single person buying the Bronco Sport that thinks they’re buying the Bronco.  They’re clearly different cars.

At least they don’t have dealers, so this price hike is completely OK. They would never do anything to gouge buyers since they don’t have dealers.

Ahh, the national vehicle of left lane sitting

The Tesla Model S:

Huge pickups that will never have anything in the bed. The dudes who buy these are insecure people who are overcompensating by trying to buy their perception of masculinity. Why does it bother me? Because they also drive like 14-year-old bullies who were thrown a set of keys by their drunk old-man. But hey, maybe they

It was a good GM product, but a terrible Toyota.

That’s....not how electric motors work, the front motor can’t send its power to the rear. Drift mode will just be disabling the front motor, leaving you with a 270kW/~360hp RWD car

“My Honda Fit briefly sounded like a race car”

I didn’t know we were still doing this

I agree, and I made the caveat about Challenger vs. Charger in one of my earliest responses. My initial comment and subsequent responses were basically saying that this will be a 4 door when it debuts and they will not make a 2 door version of the car as the concept shows. They could definitely style up a new 2 door

If you upgrade to the Sonic you can get the turbo though.

That Lexus is a TERRIBLE recommendation. There’s nothing fun or zippy about it. It’s a Prius in a fancy suit.
