Gotta wonder why The AV Club hasn't been giving just a little more attention to Sneaky Pete, as it seems tailor-made to the tastes of The TV Club commentariat. Cranston! Martindale! Graham Yost as showrunner! It's weird how slept on it is.

I've always felt that folks frequenting The AV Club were pretty good at avoiding unsalvageable comment sections, but, hoo boy, this one is truly a dumpster fire.

I noticed this too. I figured it was meant to indicate that, to Lou, Milligan's car and its passengers were completely unfamiliar to him or otherwise just didn't belong. An alien presence. Maybe that's too simplistic a read though.
