That’s true.  And Trump has already publicly discussed the issue by denying that he ordered McGahn to fire Mueller.  He can't claim executive privilege for something he's already discussed publicly.  They know that what they're doing is illegal;  they're just trying to run out the clock on the investigation.

you have to control the judiciary also.  the executive branch can’t do it without creative support from the judiciary.

I’m not sure but I believe that since McGahn was already allowed to be questioned by Mueller they can’t legally claim “executive privilege” now. He’s already been questioned by govt officials.

Whatever happened with Mueller’s tentative testimony on the 15th? Obviously it didn’t happen, because I didn’t hear anything about it—but still, the fight over that went completely silent, it seems like.
