Are you sure you didn't mean Miles Teller?

Oh, the character was paper thin. But so was his acting, and despite his taking the grand majority of the screen time he couldn't do anything with the role. Most of the characters were paper thin, but they weren't grating like he was. The rest of the Brody family was more interesting in their combined total of fifteen

Good man, your sister.

I had to stick it out until the monster fight at the end, my cousin was in control of the TV. It was my own fault for mentioning how charming I found Elizabeth Olsen when she appeared on Jon Stewart, and wishing out loud in front of him that I could see her in more things.

Your contribution is valid and has been noted.

IT DID?! Jesus.

He's a tricky fucker, that ATJ. I remembered liking him in Kick-Ass but when I was made to watch Godzilla with my cousin, I was shocked to find out how stiff and horrible he was. Like, just horrendous. Is that a regular thing? Or just for his generic action roles?

Could we just have a Marvel inspired Wacky Races style show and forget trying to be serious with all of this?

The only way it would be just like Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt would be if it was obviously done as a farcical joke.

Since we're talking Happy Endings, was anyone else disappointed that the Dave and Penny stuff didn't go anywhere? And was hoping for that to be remedied in following seasons, only to have your hopes crushed?

You're right, that's hilarious.

They really aren't. And they have little self-awareness on the subject because of the franchise's continued success. A great introspective episode here or there lost between the rabble of zombies.

If our characters's plans actually worked, things would get boring, unless the show had competent writers who understood that the personal dramas of surviving an apocalypse can be just as ripe with rich storytelling avenues that are just waiting to be explored outside of short bursts in-between the near constant

Bob, stumbling into comment sections you have no knowledge of is how you get CancerAids.

Nah, she needs something a little meatier than a straight comedy. She was great in Shameless, I think she could find a good niche in dark comedies or being the comedic part of a drama.

Were you also a fan of Higher Ground? That show introduced me to a lot of great talent I still follow to this day: Jewel, A.J. Cook, Meghan Ory. Also, Hayden Christensen was in it. And, oh boy, did he ~act in that show.

You made it farther than I. I made two different attempts at watching the series and couldn't make it past the halfway mark each time. Jewel was my favourite and I was hoping to make it through for her when I tried again, and Morena and Gina were almost enough icing on the cake, but I just couldn't keep myself

The one that has most of the FX and Amazon shows is Shomi. Crave gets HBO, I believe. Netflix gets a few FX shows that have been on it since before those two services began, as well as AMC, BBC, and Showtime. It's actually a little odd to see what ends up where sometimes.

Well, your Netflix still has Always Sunny, so you've no room to complain. I have to pay an extra eight dollars a month to use one of our second-rate, badly managed streaming services to find that up here.

Mine is also showing Saving Face as the other lone feel-good one on there. That despite all the brightly coloured titles with smiling people on them in the general category. Perhaps us Canadians have a higher standard for what constitutes a feel-good, as we're a weirdly positive and happy people by stereotype.
