One more time for the people in the back:

Review grades are not an abstract rubric of quality overall, nor are they graded based on genres. Review “grades” at the AVC are INTERNAL TO THE SHOW ITSELF. Not all television serves the same purpose, nor “entertains” the same way. Mindless fun just is not the same as the

-Ooh, Kate, you fucked up hard in this one. Wouldn’t go to the gala even to support Mary...and her mother dies at that gala at the hands of the crazy-ass sister you do make an effort for. And when Mary finds out you’re Batwoman and did nothing to save Catherine? That should also be explosive.

Caroline Dries’s tenure as showrunner of “The Vampire Diaries” coincided with my least favorite seasons of that once-beloved show, so I didn’t hold out high hopes for this.

But honestly, this is right up there with the final season of “Arrow” at the top of the pack for me this year. Partly it’s because this feels new

Maybe that’s exactly what their motivation is. They broke the planet when they landed, and as soon as they get it nice again, a bunch of apes go and dig up all the oil from where it was safely buried and set it all on fire.

Plot twist - Lena is Psycho Pirate.

Brainy: “Leviathan was responsible for killing off the dinosaurs.”

“NOW do you see why the place is Luthor-proof?” - Clark

Clearly they need Malefic’s power to counter Lena’s plot.

To be fair, she also quite implausibly stopped a continent-wide tidal wave with... dream rays?  So maybe she needed a nap after that?

> meet the vampy rival (Cara Buono)

I like Mitch Pileggi, but this part should’ve gone to a Desi actor.

I wish Lena would also bring up the stuff from season 3 when Supergirl was suspicious of Lena. How is Lena supposed to believe the friendship is real when Kara acts like best friends with Lena while Supergirl treats Lena with suspicion and distrust? I’d think Kara was faking the whole thing too. But it was so sad when

Hey now, you best not be dissing Mitch Pileggi, now!

Yeah this episode while clunky and overly ambitious does help with Lena’s perspective, we can see why these repeated betrayals, from her perspective, have messed with her head so badly.

I feel like at some point in her conversation with Sophie, Mary sold of implicitly realized how one-sided it was that she was just crushing Sophie for how horrible she was & her many betrayals of Kate & now Batwoman, and she kind of eased up, like, I am going to just go back to being The Best now & you can have fun

Is it just me, or does the wig look different from the one used in Elseworlds? The previous wig had long bangs that looked cool hanging on the side of her face, the current one’s bangs just look weird.

Or run at the fence the water is heading towards instead of something else.

Call me an old cynic... but I feel like these “leaks” are carefully worded specifically to gin up some controversy and get the racists to come out of the woodwork.

I just continue to be really impressed with this season. I totally bought the JJ/Grant fake out, based on the next-week-on that suggested the Deathstroke Gang came back to 2019 with the others and Mia’s insistence that they keep it secret (very on brand for both this show and her family heritage). So the fact that it

I think we as an Arrowverse watching community need to acknowledge that all of this is, as always, Barry Allen’s fault. No Flashpoint, no JJ. No JJ, no awful future Deathstroke Gang.
