You aren't alone….

Poor timing guys, poor fucking timing.

*sigh* I'm running out of things to say in response to creative bankruptcy. I'm just gonna walk away

Yep, I had definitely forgotten that show.

I almost always felt bad for her, the character was pretty much written to be a punching bag. Alcoholic/abusive mother, check. Brainwashed/joins a cult, check. Rape happy, sadistic, supernatural boyfriend, check. Killed/brought back, check. At the least Sookie was worst than Tara with her poor decision making and

Oh hell, how hasn't a True Blood character ended up here yet? Is that because there were so many irritating characters or we just don't want to think about them?

I hated the mini-movie thing they did with her ship/crew solely because she was the lead.

Hell, the whole concept of "can Janeway successfully merge this 2 crews who don't like/trust each other into a cohesive unit?" seemed forgotten about by the halfway point of season 1.

I pick up on QT's references sometimes, but he's also watched a lot more movies, and probably a lot more obscure movies, then I'll ever get around to. And since I enjoy his work more often than not I don't mind his need to pay homage to the past. But Sutter went well beyond that with Southpaw.

Sutter already wrote a boxing film, he didn't direct it though. Southpaw, it came out last year. Nothing to write home about and really not worth watching. My friend is a die hard Rocky fan and told me Sutter essentially just redid portions of Rocky's 4/5.

Jimmy Smits was really the only person I was cheering for at the end of the show. He seemed like the lone good guy (except maybe for Unser) that you just felt bad for because everyone else just seemed to be taking a dump on him for being willing to forgive their BS and help them anyways.

The acting was much better early on though, some people seemed like they were still trying as the writing started to fall off but the characters were in such ruts the performances I thought were suffering. If FX does move forward with the Mayans spinoff after the disaster of the Bastard Executioner, I hope they put

I think Sutter's vision was kind of just "I'm awesome and therefore what I write shall be awesome! Hey look a Rocky marathon. (3 movies later…) Maybe I should write a boxing film next…"

I bordered on quitting a lot, especially as FX seemed to increasingly give in to Sutter's indulgences with more padded out 90-100 minute episodes, more slow motion montages with his wife covering pop songs, an ever expanding cast carrying so much dead weight… sometimes I don't know how I lasted.

In a show with that many low-life characters, there were many choices…she was just the worst

Oh and let's not forget Gemma from Sons of Anarchy.

Oof…yeah she belongs here.

That creepy IT Muppet on the Muppets right now is doing it.

She's pretty much half the reason I stopped watching the show (besides the fact the writing was getting repetitive). If they ever kill her maybe I'll come back.

Was literally just starting to write the same thing about Andy above! Then I figured I should make sure no one beat me to it. Andy barely worked for me on the whole because they kept yo-yo'ing the character all over the place but S8/S9 were really the worst
