I have to say, having watched the Grand Tour yesterday and now this, I like this a lot better. The boys are really fun to watch when they are goofing around, but their reviews were starting get a bit stale. LeBlanc has a nice delivery and his opinions aren’t just the same superlatives repeated over and over again. I

If it has to be a Turbo, just spend a little more and get a 997. 996 Turbos have already been appreciating somewhat (at least over here in Germany), but 997 Turbos have been holding their value for the last 3 years. That goes for regular 997s as well - sold mine for more than I paid for it after 3 years of hooning.

Not sure why people think these cars are more expensive to maintain than any other car. A 20 year old car that was not properly maintained will require a lot of work. Period. And I couldn’t watch his video long enough to figure out if he did the work himself or paid someone to do it, but part of the reason to buy a 20

My e36 M3 is cheaper than a therapist and more effective. That is all.

Wait, $3k in repair costs / $12k in total car costs is bankruptcy? If it’s a regular stream of $3k repair bills then sure. But this just seems like a one-time bundle of deferred maintenance that needs to be done on any older European car bought from a stranger.
