What really matters is the hearts and memories of genre fans, and fans of good television. I very much think this show and everyone in it will be fondly remembered for a long time.

My first episode, by pure coincidence, was actually "White Tulip". So yeah, the final image of this show has even more personal resonance.

The sheer torrent of emotion in "The End" is still enough to hold a warm place in my heart, if only for the huge, cathartic, even *ahem* oceanic experience of watching it that night. All the resultant disappointment and sourness, in my eyes, falls squarely on the rest of that awful season. I do have some doubts…
