That poor little girl. I remember a girl I went to elementary school with how was pretty smelly. Lots of kids made fun of her. I remember my mom telling me that her family was very poor and didn't have heat or hot water, meaning they took baths once a week with water heated on the stove. I wonder if that or some

Thirding the fact that DCS has very limited resources and neglect is not always easy to prove. Is there running water in the home? Are the clothes washed? If those two things are in place, then it can come down to whether the parent(s) enforce hygiene and is it even possible to do so without literally having to fight

I don't get the comparison to street harassment and it is definitely not rape (what!) but it's not something that flies when you're speaking publicly about someone whose job has nothing to do with their physical attributes. It changes the tone of the previous praise and, especially in politics, can be creatively

It was an unprofessional thing to say. No body's lynching anybody, just calling the president on saying something that stupid. And I say that as a black woman. Specifically a black woman who found Bill Clinton skeevy and inappropriate. Kamala Harris is an attractive woman but, first and foremost, she is an Attorney

I have to concede the point if he is a rep rather than someone who is essentially a lower level functionary. And if he signed the agreement, he is in the wrong. He should have waited until he was no longer working for MUO before competing in the Mr. Leather contest.

Where else do men and women compete on a similar level in what is essentially an contest of aesthetics? That's the only thing I could come up with.

The whole pageant industry is full of hypocrisy but I think that this is not a fair comparison. Keith Lewis is an employee of the pageant organization, not a contestant. When all is said and done, Miss USA or whatever is the face of the pageant and is expected to represent a certain image that goes along with it.

I'm just trying to figure out how this would work. Would the social services system and the public school system be linked? Would parents have to bring in report cards when they recon for benefits? Would they recon quarterly rather than yearly, creating a massive work load for social services? How soon will benefits

Nothing. Except her assumption that no opposite gender couples have ever, in the history of the world, gotten married for any other reasons that True Love and procreation.

It's not about feeling sympathy for them, it's about understanding behavior and understanding how that behavior effects the larger society. And, in this case, its about understanding how laws can effect basic rights. Just because you don't feel sympathy for someone who got HIV from casual sex (or not so casual sex)

The problem is that it's too broad. It could be used for HIV, Hepatitis B (which is a lot more communicable), meningitis, flu, pink eye, pretty much any communicable disease. I'm all for protecting the public but policies and procedures are already in place for dealing with these diseases. I'm concerned about how

Ideally, the should be doing this anyway but we know for sure that they don't. They should also be practicing safer sex, especially with a casual partner but, again doesn't always happen.

Yes! And rates of HIV infection will likely rise because fewer people will want to get tested and will most likely continue to engage in risky behaviors.

The problem is that, unfortunately, for a lot of people, Christians = the bigoted, sign-wavers on TV who have no problem propagating hateful ideas about anyone that's not like them and then using their faith as an excuse for shitty behavior. This makes them fair game for both clever mocking and not-so-clever put

While a black student union would be acceptable that would not be the case if they were essentially a 'security force' i.e. paramilitary group saying that they were protecting the 'virtue of black women'. They would most likely be asked by the university of cease operations because they would be seen as a threat.

Maryland is technically a southern state.

I'm Baltimore born and raised and I've seen waves of gentrification come through various neighborhoods (Fells Point, Canton, Federal Hill, Hampden). It does kind of follow the pattern of your more daring, marginal folks moving in to blighted (but not too blighted) areas, building them up, then attracting more

Whole dolls. Though I could probably find something interesting to do with the anuses that has nothing whatsoever to do with what they're supposed to be for.

I want to have a couple to just dress up and sit around like life-sized Barbies.

If we're talking about the same product, I love those things and they really are hard to find. There's one K Mart that I go that has them and I usually buy two packs at a time. They're good for quick wipe downs all over not just for the girly bits.
