I did the same thing at my last job. If my last day is when you’re suddenly concerned with things like why someone would leave for another job, the company culture, workloads, etc, then it’s a failure on the part of upper mgmt and HR.
Personally, the worst kind of coworker is the one that does next to nothing but complains about having to be at work. I’m so sorry you have to physically be at work to get paid for attendance. These folks come in and split their time between prancing around the office, online shopping, and taking 2 dozen smoke breaks.…
Oh, I didn’t do it to annoy those companies sending the spam. I did it to help the Postal Service out a little. I read somewhere back in the day about a guy who would take their return envelops and tape it to a brick to jack up the weight/price. Never did go that far myself.
I welcome junk mail, if only to keep USPS in service. I open up their letters, stuff everything into the return envelop and send it back on its way.
That looks incredible! Nice job.

That $15 off $75 eBay deal is one time use. I picked up a BP gas card and was about to get in on the Panera Bread deal but the code no longer works.

Honest question for you. You seem to dislike this “stupid website” and most of the people commenting. Why come here then?
I use my credit union savings acct to set up my emergency fund. I started by setting up automatic deductions set up to take $900/month out of my paychecks. I have an auto loan through the same credit union for $369/month. At the end of the year, I have $6372 which would be used for emergencies. If I lucked out and…
My parents got me a Mustang as a belated high school graduation present. I was about a month into my freshman year at college when they called me. “Come home,” they said, “we found you a car. It’s a Mustang, like those model cars you used to collect. We bought it from this nice old lady who only put 50,000 miles on it…
I think the important thing to consider w/ dollar cost averaging is the cost of acquisition. Each trade will cost a certain amount. Depending on the amount you purchase it could really put a dent in your returns. At a $1,000/day, it’s not much, but for those of us with less to invest, say $10,000 total. $100/day…
Are you sure its a law in NY? I live on Long Island and 50-75% of people don’t clear off the tops of their cars when it snows. And I’ve seen a good number of idiots clearing peep holes in just the front windows driving along w/ no side or rear visibility in full view of police w/o getting pulled over, ticketed, and…
More Liberty Mutual commercials. Because I’m honestly curious about how much dumber they can get.
Just got back into an S2000 myself. 07 Formula Red for $21k.
I like the idea of the 52 week challenge, plus a monthly or quarterly challenge. Something simple for the monthly/quarterly, could be to record and put away change on all purchases.
As a responsible adult, I totally agree with you. I charge as much of my fixed expenses on my cash back cards as possible. But with the understanding that its a tool to not have to carry cash, which can be lost, and does not offer cash back or extended warranties, not to increase how much I can spend.
I agree that it depends on your knowledge level. One of the problems is the credit card companies target you in your teens. Without a solid foundation of financial knowledge from parents or school, you can very easily rack up debt. When I signed for a student loan at 18, I sat with a financial counselor who went…
Wow, I never knew this kind of thing existed. That’s so shady! Credit cards are evil. The only way to guarantee they don’t screw you is to only charge what you can absolutely pay off at the end of the billing cycle.
