Growing up poor sucks! I had a similar childhood and these fears and anxieties stayed with me well into my adult years. My biggest obstacle to overcome was spender’s guilt. I’ve found that having a budget with clearly defined savings and investment goals while allocating for a “fun” fund helps.

I owned an 05 350z and 07 S2000 previous to the FR-S. Although, stock, unmolested examples are rare and becoming pricier, my money is on the S2k, hands down. If torque is your thing, go 350z. In no way shape or form do I recommend the FR-S. My $0.02.
