I love her. I know that’s not the consensus on this site, but I think she’s awesome and hilarious and I’m so excited for this next season.

Kris: “Robbie, Never forget than Mommy loves you just the way you were.”

I think Sally Wainwright wrote a script or is writing a script and looking to direct it. Which is awesome because she comes from Yorkshire and wrote the wonderful Happy Valley. She will do a great job. I would love to see Siobhan Finneran as Tabitha Aykroyd, the woman who raised them and inspiration for Nelly Dean.

There is an odd lack of complimentarian marriage on the website (although the wife still has the adoring slightly glazed look of a submissive wife.) He also bought tons of his own books so it would be on the NYTimes bestseller list. Mark Driscoll is a tool, and a grifter. (Note even though he blathers about his mother

You’re doing good work here. And I got a laugh out of the Tragically Still Gary comment. Sorry that some still can’t seem to see the forest for the trees.

This. All of this. I left my kids home for a reason. I don’t want to deal with yours.

I’m with you. My husband and I love movies, but we don’t go to many in theaters right now unless it’s a kids’ movie. Or one of us will take our older child to PG-13 (and okay, I took him to see Fury Road, I admit). Otherwise we wait for disc or Netflix. Sometimes when you’re a parent, you just can’t. We’ve finagled it

Fellow parent, co-signing all of this.

Sucks for parents who can’t find evening sitters.

I know a few of these parents are "FREEDOM MURRICA IF I WANNA TAKE MY 6 YEAR OLD TO AN R RATED MOVIE IT IS MY GOD AND FOUNDING FATHER GIVEN RIGHT TO" but the vast majority are idiots who don't understand how ratings work, right? Like the dumb parents who took their kids to see Deadpool " Cause little Billy LOVES them

I have yet to come across someone that just straight up “hates men” and I’ve been reading/commenting there for over a year. If you’re conflating “men” with “patriarchy,” then maybe you should go read a book.

Ah, now comparing the Jezebels with the misogynists of 4chan. ALSO seems reasonable!

Last year, I finally admitted to my family that I dread spending time with them. To them, it came as an out-of-the-blue attack, when in reality, I’ve dreaded spending time with them, and given plenty of “polite” reasons to avoid it, for about 10 years. I thought they understood the hints when I constantly couldn’t

You called it a “cesspool of a whining [sic] echo chamber” and that they think any opposing opinion is an attack on their person. A little different than just “disagreeing.”

Calling a group of thousands of diverse women “fucking insane” seems reasonable.

What’s funny is that THIS VERY ARTICLE says “What’s important is that people understand that you’re not pushing them back, but rather their position.” I implied your POSITION was sexist. I don’t know you. Jezebel consists of mostly female writers and commenters. Do you see how that can come off as a sexist comment?

Maybe I’m just proving your “point,” but comments about Jezebel like this one come off as extremely sexist. I’ve actually had some of my most thoughtful and engaging conversations with people I disagree with there. If you form an intelligent and coherent opinion, many will be willing to have a civil back and forth

What’s important is that people understand that you’re not pushing them back, but rather their position.

I work as a teacher and I realize for a lot of my students school isn’t a priority because of other things going on in their lives. It’s hard to focus and take school seriously when you were up the whole night or are hungry. They might be stressed out because the decisions of their parents. I do what I can to help

Well, shit. This was fucking fabulous.
