Yes, the books are great. As with most series, there are some passages/chapters that feel a little like a slog, but the vast majority are great. I couldn’t put them down and binged all the books in about a month. You won’t be disappointed.

Season 5 had some issues, but Hardhome made up for most of it. That episode ended and all I could say was a stunned “wow.” The best TV I’ve ever seen. I’m hoping Season 6 has something similar in store...
