Dude, the move was just NOT smart. You don't jump from the puddle into the lake. Microsoft is not sinking anyway, it just goes trough some terrible times. Leaving it for Zynga is simply stupid, unless he was rather pushed out by "the powers that be".

You're kidding me... you think it's perfectly acceptable to have a product you own permanently disabled and never usable ever again? You'd have a point if it was an MMO, but this is for all intents and purposes a single player game that I believe has some co-op capabilities. Keep drinking that corporate kool aid. This

Regardless of the quality of the game in the first place, this is a perfect example of why always online is a terrible idea.

I don't understand why this is just a little blurb on Kotaku. This is a serious concern for games moving forward and is probably worthy of a longer discussion.

"Entitlement". I know, right? How dare people who bought the game expect to be able to play it?

There is reference on the forum to refunds. Is EA giving refunds? Who is eligible?

Soooooo, I literally can't play it anymore? At all?

i I loved this game. This is a shameful end to a good game and shows a grim future indeed...

Always-online is a way that games die young. The requirement could be justifiable for the system (as in an MMORPG), but in this case it's particularly sad because a publisher's commitment to a two year old game can drop because they don't want to fix a bug.

Remember people. This is the future of gaming.

Why did Deadspin assume people would care about some dude's fairly mainstream, super generic and boring spotify playlist...?

"They've hired a "shoe guru" and will be paying close, weekly attention to who wears what, as many fans are vocal sticklers for such things."

It's good to know that comment was taken seriously by officials, but to remain in jail for months is a bit absurd, even more so if his case review doesn't end positively.

yeah...you totally took the "sad day for Singapore" quote completely out of context. The original poster wrote that it's a sad day for Singapore because of the abuse directed towards McDonald's employees by people wanting to buy the item. Jezebel "journalism" once again...

How is this a perfect answer? This is actually an offensive use of the term. One that Gawker would be all over if anyone with pale skin or a position of power had used in a public setting.

I've never seen the Ouya lasting long to begin with, this will only hasten it's demise. One successful lawsuit and they are done.

That made me laugh; still, I enjoyed the movie a lot, and I'm not a Superman 64 fan. Neither is my mom, for that matter.

Go home, Freddy. You're drunk.
