Sorry if I came off as dismissive, and reading my original comment, I definitely didn't mean to disparage other people's right to feel offended, and I do apologize if I offended anyone; I really am just trying to get a little more historical context on this, as maybe I am too young to be aware of the historical

I'm Asian and I don't get the hubbub over "oriental". In fact, in the UK that seems to be the commodity term for east asian (because over there "Asian" refers to Indian/Pakistani/South Asian, as that's the more prevalent demographic there).

Hmm, good point. Well, Google Sites is the new Geocities, which isn't a great thing to be.

well, when each person is forced to post in quadruplicate, it helps the comment count a little bit :P

They had me until "Google Sites". Nothing says "fancy wedding site" like a mandatory link at the bottom that says "Report Abuse" that can't be hidden...

I would heart all of you, except your sweater is ugly.

Why don't my sweaters look like that?

Hulu went from being the first place I looked for online TV to the last.

Ooooh, you read Greg Grunberg. You read Greg Grunberg ta FILTH.

@That-Dude: The guy you're thinking of but can't name is Matt Bomer from White Collar. And whenever his trousers are too tight, I definitely notice...

My there are some long, lingering shots of his rippling back in this video.

Um point taken, but please do not direct the Twilight movies and then suddenly take a stand for feminism.

@VideoVampire: I agree- they did the same thing to Boxee. I don't understand how they plan on getting people to use this service by removing it from the cutting edge devices that are making it easier to access their service.

@kenzington: It wouldn't be so creepy if they weren't so matchy! Looking at that picture you can't help but imagine him yelling "I thought I said THIRD BUTTON."

@OnceAStar: Yeah. I don't care if he was rocking the meat dress. No one is buying what he is selling.

@kaisersooze: The third hit for P90X is amazon, which you might argue is astroturfed, but at least has user generated reviews on it. I think the article above on Idol White is more about products that don't even show up in the top 10 hits with anything other than dummy sites.

@helen.skor: Sorry! It was meant to be more of an illustration of how there are language conventions among gay men that make Musto's article a little bit more nuanced than just "calling him a girl".

@helen.skor: Sorry, it was a little gay joke there. "Reading" refers to a type of friendly banter that comes from drag culture that has been more widely adopted by gay men; it can be perceived as cruel or cutting to outsiders. Calling someone "girl" is not necessarily an insult or pejorative.
