Erik's comment about watching "Twin Peaks" for the first time 7 or 8 years ago and it not seeming all that odd shows what I always felt. By then, TV had caught up and the impact that Peaks had on many TV dramas as diverse as "The Sopranos" to "Mad Men" to "Lost" that continues to this day on shows like "Riverdale"

"The saddest thing about it to me is that God never answers Margaret back."

My favorite is Edison's "What Happened on 23rd Street" where you get to see the goings on on 23rd Street on a regular day in 1901 (plus one young person who is staring from a distance at the camera fascinated) and then a young couple walk up casually, all too casually, directly over a grate and the air blows her

Watch closely now, are you watchin' me now!

I swear, I thought this was going to be an article about North Korea. Many years ago, I saw a news story about that country and they showed a guitar class and every child in that class was perfectly in sync on the guitar, all nodding their heads, smiling and strumming the tunes at the exact same way in rhythm. I don't know why I love "The Tommyknockers" so much. I just do. I read it nearly twenty years ago and then again this past Fall and still got a kick out of it, probably because it's so batshit crazy but it's still fun. Just sit back and wait for the next really bizarre turn of events fun. I felt "IT," by

Can't we just have an adaptation of "Murder by Death" instead?

"Rico Suave" or nothing!

Will there be a creepy, stereotypical gay couple with makeup and satin pants who get killed at the beginning?

Listen, leave "Fresno" alone! It had a great cast (Carol Burnett! Dabney Coleman!) and was a pitch perfect parody of prime time soaps. It's been 31 years, can we let that poor miniseries rest in peace? Jesus.

PG-13 came out later that same year and still allowed certain flashes at first, such as in "Police Academy 2" and "European Vacation." (They were probably made with an R in mind.)

Wasn't that the version of "The Lawnmower Man" that somehow used his name until he sued?

Baby skunks or GTFO.

When I was young, it felt like Bruce Jenner was on the Wheaties box for about a decade. I hated Wheaties too. They absorb the milk and just turn to mush.

"Thank you for all coming to my Bar Mitzvah today. I hope you enjoy the dinner and music by Spin Doctors. And thank you Doctor Wasserman for the sip of your Zima. Ha ha. Just kidding, dad."

And Krystle and Alexis' slide down a muddy hill on "Dynasty."

Just finished Big Little Lies without benefit of having seen the HBO series. I enjoyed it but I always seem to guess the endings (though this wasn't all that subtle if you paid attention for certain revelations) but I think years of soap opera watching and comic book reading taught me to look out for little things.

IIRC, toward the end of the diary, there were a LOT more than four missing pages. It's back in print, for anybody who wants to check it our for themselves. https://www.amazon.com/Secr…

After seeing "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore" as a teen on TV, I can no longer accept Polly Holliday as Flo. That role is owned by Diane Ladd.

Shhhh.
