The article states that the reason for the transplant was that Steve's liver was failing. I don't think that is correct. He had an islet cell tumor of the pancreas - a tumor that can cause a hormone imbalance. My understanding was that, as they commonly do, it had spread to his liver. If this occurs with many tumors,

@Almightywhacko: 3G users can use iOS4, they just don't get background images and multitasking. Multitasking isn't essential for any apps to function. the 2G iPhone was released in 2007 - 3 years ago.

@NakedEskimo: I have to echo the complaints about Google Sync. I use it on my work machine and frequently get errors (2016, which is supposed to mean I haven't signed up for Google Calendar yet, which isn't true). This may be partially the fault of my work network, but MobileMe works fine in the same situation.

@DeekoVB5: Except even the iPhone 3G is 2 years old. Many recent Android phones won't be able to upgrade to 3.

@Realityism: Which brings up the question: if you're shorting two antennas, why is only 3G signal affected?
