I picked up the Chromebook version refurbed for $135 last year, and the build quality and keyboard are amazing. The chassis flexes less than a macbook pro and the keyboard, despite having some undersized keys, feels nicer than a $1800 hp business grade laptop.

To be fair, Picasso’s later work often dealt with the monetary values placed on works. He even developed a reputation for doodling on checks so they would never be cashed. (Although he could obviously afford to pay).

It’s smaller. Samurais are closer in size to to a side by side than a wrangler.

This is something we’ve been working on in Oregon and the other recreational use states. Traditional urine testing can show a positive result months after the last use. Cheek swabs are better at spotting use within the last few hours, but are inaccurate enough that there are pretty significant worries of false

In my experience, out of date software is a much bigger issue than out of date hardware. My 3 year old nexus 4 is still faster than I need, but once Google ends security updates, I’m probably getting a new phone.

There are a lot more than 2 million taxpayers.

The thinkpad 11e is amazing if you don’t need much processing power. Great build quality, thinkpad keyboard (no trackpoint though), and a decent trackpad. I picked up a chrome OS refurbed version for $155, so there cheap too, although windows costs a bit more.

Yeah, the absolute lowest I can see this going would be some engineering exec who took advantage of clean, surprisingly cheap diesels to further his career. Maybe someone in charge of “brand management for technical development” for instance, who maneuvered his way into the position of CEO?

Considering he’s probably facing criminal investigations by the the US and possibly Germany as well, he’s probably hanging on as long as possible so that VW covers his legal fees. I would probably do the same in his shoes.

I think a buyback is probably in the cards, at least for the older models, as the cost of retrofits would probably be several thousand/car, when logistics and everything is taken into account, and the reputation damage caused by downgrading performance/fuel economy is probably higher. Additionally, the bought back

VAG is the only manufacturer selling cheap diesels in the US, so it’s very plausible that they are the only ones doing this.

Additionally, stopping sales on currently available models incentivizes VAG to cooperate and not hold up the investigation in any way. The sooner this is resolved the sooner they can go back to selling 2.0 tdi equipped vehicles (assuming they’re found to be compliant).

HP has really cheap refurbed “pro x2 612”s (basically a 12.5” surface 2 with 1080p ips, wacom stylus, haswell i3/i5, 4/8GB, 64-512GBssd, standard HP warranty) on their “business outlet”. You have to order over the phone, but the cheapest config is only $244 +$19 shipping. I paid $529 shipped for one a i5/8/256 with a

They probably won’t go all Audi, becuase they need to wake up in time to Jetta back to DC for a few rounds of Golf with the DOJ.

One of my just sold a yaris be bought new when Toyota was having all the sudden unintended acceleration hoohaw for $1k less than he paid for it. (Granted, it had less 35k miles, but still)

They’re going to go down more before they go up, they only made $12.3 billion last year, and they are conceivably on the hook for two or three times that if it turns out this is a global issue, as well as the cost of reputation damage. They’re either going to need to cut way back on r and d, sell off less integrated

“These were on my sheets as a toddler!”

By insane, I mean insane. I just sold my 2wd 5mt 1993 Mazda b2600i, with a broken radio, no a/c, no carpeting, and a booger welded tailgate for $2150.

Recently? My local junk yard will pay a flat rate of $300 for any car you bring them, of $200 if they pick it up. It’s driven beater prices to insane levels.

Something to keep in mind is the time cost of selling an old phone and buying a new one.
