I just finished Far Cry Primal a few days ago and I felt really burn out by it by the end. Partly because they hadn’t really mixed up the Far Cry formula since FC3.

I know it doesn’t make any sense, but I still lol’d

Nobody has mentioned this yet, but it always seemed to me like the pokemon are often moving. Or at least idling in one spot for a while then appearing in a new spot. I’ve found in a car, when I can move fast, I’m able to track down the 3 pawprint pokemon pretty well since I can get to them in time.
