You can get textile seats! That’s pretty sweet.

Agreed. The lowest available trim with the Magnetic Ride Control seems like the best package.

Dear Nissan,

Reading through about 20 responses. General consensus is that DCTs range from PDK phenomenal to Korean fine to Chevy abysmal.

The feel. The throttle response. The revving. The smoothness once you’re going. I know they’re mechanically very different.

There’s an uncomfortable amount of touching in the first 15 seconds

Respectfully disagree. I drove a 135is and it exhibited all of the same quirks of every DCT that I’ve experienced, including laggy throttle behavior from a stop. The test drive confirmed that manual was the way to go.

I’ve never driven a DCT that I liked. It’s the worst of both worlds from an automatic and a CVT. I’ve heard good things about Porsche’s PDK, but I’d still spec it out with three pedals.

I’m trying really hard to think of something that I care about less than a Korean car company’s color palette. I’m honestly stumped. Well done, Alanis.

One down, 3,299 to go.

Alright gramps... I had a Stanza, so I know about the glory days. Nowadays, I loathe Nissan.

He said that wider wheels don’t put the same additional stress on wheel bearings as wheel spacers. Moment arm still gets longer, so he’s very wrong.

Sentra’s motto: because it was all they had.

I unsubscribed from his channel when he butchered the explanation about wheel spacers and wheel bearings. He gets 80% right, but he’s never technically correct (which is the best kind of correct).

Put a little AC vent in that space instead.

That was hard to read

Hate it. FCA. Nothing more to say.
