So, pretty much EVERY character in ASOIAF has now been proclaimed to be Azor Ahai, now, right? Is it over? Can all of you stop now?

You'll be waiting for a long time. I have a feeling you're also really looking forward to the return of Stannis, the waif, Xaro Daxos, Matthos Seaworth and the enitre fleet of the Masters.

And then the showmakers waved her paycheck in her face and said, "So. You're the actor. We're gonna have you do it, and pay you for it, or we'll have a stunt person do it, and pay them for it. What would you prefer?

Oh? Okay, then, why did Mr. Commander of the guard, or whoever he was, not instantaneously balk and open the gates when the FREYS pulled their stunt? I mean, the lord of the castle was going to be killed! Open the gates! Serve and protect the lord! And since all the other guys don't give a shit, it'll be easy!

And then you nodded and wept bitterly, right?

All of this. All of yes. Said it perfectly, and there was still so much more about this that really disappointed me.

"We've had idiot kings, and we've and cruel kings, AND we've had cruel idiot kings, but we never had idiot WEAK kings!"

Spoiler alert: People have different opinions!

"A man's orders with a knife to his throat is no true order" That logic makes a TON of freaking sense, yet, out of every man who joined up with the Blackfish, fought and risked their lives to take a castle, for hating both the treacherous Freys and the tyrant Lannisters, one word from a beaten imprisoned lord causes

Some BAD soup, to boot!

They also bring up Ned Stark a ton of times since his death too. I mean, sorry, but this isn't like summoning the candyman, where you say the name three names in the mirror and they magically appear.

He's not the pope, he's the High Sparrow!

I can't. I just can't process how awful this episode was.

This was literally the worst episode of this show I have ever seen.

It's how good jokes work.

If you have to explain it, it's a pretty bad joke.

I KNOW! What a missed opportunity. I rekon there will still be a few episodes before the climactic fight that everyone is hankering for, but if they completely handwave Manderly, they would have squandered an amazing story opportunity.

Yeah, this sounds pretty much on par with all those GOT theorists that plague Youtube.

Oh, that would have been totally boring, I agree. I just wish he was a bit more nuanced. His hypocrisy, his dialogue, everything just seems so… standard "religious villain" fare.

TV nudity isn't a sports game, where there has to be an equal score. The reasons for nudity are varied, from the exploitative to the artistic. Artificially throwing in this and that to be "equal opportunity" is ridiculous.
