#3: 572 built up with a pair of head-sized turbos (as I've seen at woodward this summer) is about like cracking an egg with a sledgehammer. Just because you can technically drive it in a almost-barely-vaguely street-able car doesn't mean you should.

I had the day off, but had already voted. But why so mad? :I

seperate-but-equal chance of drowning?

for swamps and other stagnant water, maybe. I got to see all kinds of cars swept off the road when Pittsburgh got flooded out in 2011. Moving water = car death.

another poster child for "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should"

That chain-driven jackshaft/suspension pivot makes me cringe. I hope he's got some good tensioner devices for chains that long and a rear tire with that much weight.

I was about to find something like this photo. The scrolling LED Matrix marquee thing's been done before, which is similar to Jason's ill-advised idea.

FYI regarding the noise; the dyno cells at Powertrain HQ (I can tell from the diamond plate) are heavily muffled to meet OSHA dB levels, piped through an oxidation system to reduce emissions, and energy is used from the dyno to offset electricity use.

Those are yellow tiedowns. Common practice is to fasten the cars that are near a cleat on the deck with a cinch strap.

Well, the one that stuck out in the college lot was an '83 Prelude, with the Perdue decal. I know there's got to be plenty of people reading this that knows who drives it.

I know of a man that died as a result of the trunk shutting on him while working on an old mercedes. He was (not illegaly, but against their rules) working on it at a self-storage facility; the family found him several days later. He had knocked out both taillights and put several hundred screwdriver gouges through

I'd recently replaced my 626 5-door with a white Buick Regal. Wake up and head outside and the car is *missing*.

Was just going to say that yes, this is a factory color; though they typically do it as a special batch similar to fleet orders. It's hysterical to see a photo with a line full of pink CTSes.

That godawful magenta/red/pink color that was available on the '97+ Ford Taurus.

Maybe, but by and large, if there are a large number of people selling their 401k assets to live off of (baby boomers), and not as many buying, supply/demand require the selling prices to diminish. Obviously, there will be those stocks/funds that outperform or underperform because of specific attributes, but the mean

Guy waving what I could have sworn was a Tec-9 out the window of a Cutlass at some guys on the sidewalk. Hooray, Flint MI.

Trying not to make recharging stations too alien to electric vehicle owners. They're too used to being shafted by gas prices
