I think the industry, which tends to be very careful and conservative, would prefer to wait for bankruptcy and complete failure to avoid the optics/risk of upsetting China by dealing with Jia directly.

I don’t love the direction with making everything voice-activated, and having 27" tv screens in a car, but they are pretty cool looking cars. And I like that they’re going for futuristic-looking cars, without making it look like a warthog
Step 1 invite journalists over, Step 2 harvest kidneys, Step 3 Profit
Reliable and Alfa does not belong in the same sentence, unless that sentence contains a huge NOT. The CLA is another odd choice considering rear leg room is an issue. This dude is clueless.
Goodness the new Volvo’s are so pretty. Never thought I would say the words “sexy Volvo” but here we are
The husband wants the Alfa or the AMG...but the car is for the wife.
So I’m not the only one that thinks it’s crazy that Tesla is being valued as if it’s going to own like 40% of the car market?
TSLA is being day traded. This is not a stock for investing your 401k into.
At least you’ll have somewhere to take a dump when you’re broken down in the middle of nowhere waiting for someone to come save you.
We’ve been through this, and it hasn’t changed.
Yeah. This.
Considering every single Tesla owner I know is an overpaid software engineer (but not me obviously ... just a lil 997; but I’m also a fucking dinosaur in that gig at 42 years old) that’s never driven anything faster than a mid 00's Jetta ... yeah, I pretty much do what I can to avoid them anyway.
*insert Musk head*
As a software engineer, “feature complete” is a bullshitter’s term used when a deadline or estimated date of completion comes up and you want to tell people your stuff is done but it isn’t actually done and the things that are done are broken. It has no place in conversations about systems used to pilot vehicles.
“Feature Complete” is a pretty common statement in video games or software development.
“Feature complete” is what I call a project when the “happy path” works if a user does everything exactly as designed ... but god help you if any errors crop up.
I feel like it should include a health warning disclaimer like drug commercials have when you turn on FSD.
Tesla Full Self Driving: side effects may include an empty wallet, panel gaps, fender benders, wrong turns, vehicular homicide, and in some cases death.
Go ahead and try it. What’s the worst that can happen? :-/
Yeah, everything is OK until you hit the back door, then it all goes to shit.
Jesus Christ folks are paying a lot of money to cosplay as outdoorsy!
