Fairly standard in most industries I’ve worked in. Surprisingly, the worst traceability I’ve seen was in the defense industry.

Considering the amount I see on dealer lots compared to on the road, they at least don’t have to worry about trying to get customers in to fix it.  Most of them are still on the dealers lots.

Wraps are easy to remove. For the mileage and how these hold up, easy NP as the interior looks to be in good shape, no apparent issues on the exterior other than the wrap needing peeled off.  So it’s a clean SUV on the cheap.

Well, if you are stalking me for a spot and I know there are spots further out, yeah, I will take my time and then some. Heck, I’ve been known to load everything up and then wander back into the store because a parking lot stalker is being impatient.

Yeah, I do this too, but when I am driving something with a big enough gas tank (my truck or wife’s SUV) that I know I will be back before the tank is full anyways.  It’s extremely rare that I don’t make it back before the pump clicks off.

Yeap, I sold my Mazda 3 in a day for a price I was happy with it. Person buying it, his first comment was about how clean the interior was because I spent 20 minutes vacuuming it. That and the fact I just fixed the driver side window because it was starting to act up, he got a spare window regulator because it was the

Yeah, it becomes increasingly clear why David is now a writer and no longer and an engineer.

Cafe builds are automatic CP for me. I’ve been around enough of them and seen enough of them that I’ve come to one conclusion. Everyone thinks they want one, until they have one.

First glance was thinking why not, then saw the interior and slid to the hell no category. I just sold a Mazda 3 in one day because I freaking swept and cleaned the interrior up. Now yes, I got super lucky, but what sold it was the guy was amazed how clean it was. Its amazing what a freaking vacuum and a few minutes c

I can pick one up at a good used car dealership with a little bit of warranty for that.

Color alone makes it a NP for me.

Im planning on keeping this a long time, will probably be due to go back to the scrapyard by the time I am done with it.

Im kind of in the other boat, I cant get over how much shitty infotaiment crap people want in vehicles anymore. Aside from bluetooth to connect my phone, thats all I want as I use my phone for nav and everything else anymore. I dont need it all interconnected.

Salvage title can be a good bargain, depending on why the it was issued. Going to go look at a car Saturday that now has a rebuilt title. The reason for the original salvage title and now rebuild title is actually kind of a plus in the case of the car I am going to look at.

Indiana has taxis?

Looks like rust to me in the passenger side front wheel well. I’ve got concerns without seeing undercarriage and have to CP.

Then you havent looked very hard, though yes it is getting tougher because most of us poor small farmers had to admit defeat in the 90s and move to other professions.

(ex poor farmer turned engineer)

Nice, looks like my car shopping list. Was looking at WRX’s but hold their value to much and finding a clean one was not easy.

Nice timely article as I am looking at buying a car this weekend. Just sent them a message for an itemized quote for the out the door price. Now lets see if I actually get it.
