Never heard of hydrolock being a reason for a new motor. Usually that just means, pull the plugs and change the fluids. Something really doesn’t smell right with his excuse.

Agreed, just not quite there for the asking price. It’s close and within a shot for negotating but at given price, just can’t do it.
There are a couple, in the area, but all very similiar in the small town farming style. Maybe their mechanics aren’t comfortable with them, I don’t know the full story. They are definietly seem to be putting more 250s on the lots though and less 150s.
Dude, it’s a small local dealership my family has been dealing with for over 30 years that services a primarily farming community. Everyone in the area knows them and are friends with them. People just go in there to just shoot the shit because they are in town. Now I would not own a new F150, but that has nothing to…
No, they move a lot F150s to farmers who use them as work trucks. I don’t know exactly what they are seeing or have seen as I don’t really care as I’m not about to get rid of my Titan. Just know they’ve said they will not put those on their lots.
The reason for three engines, I know Ford dealerships that still will not stock the twin turbo engine on trucks or anything resemebling a truck. They will order one for you if you really want it, but they all say they have seen to much trouble with the setup that they will not just get one to put on the lot.
The red flag for me is the radio just ripped out and not even an attempt to replace it with anything correctly. Makes you wonder what else they’ve half assed with this car and what kind of mess you are actually walking into with finicky German electronics and engineering design.
I’m confused as I don’t know of any county roads in Indiana with a speed limit of 70. Interstates have a speedlimit of 70, not county roads in this state.
I guess that doesn’t bother me as my last two vehicles I’ve had the transmission go out right as I was about ready to get rid of them. So I put a new trany in them just to sell them as it’s really hard to sell a car that doesn’t move.
In almost 30 years of driving, never had an issue with transmissions and then my last…
The biggest issue is actually generating Hydrogen cost effectively because of the ammount of energy needed to split water molecules to get pure hydrogen. Everything else is relatively simple as people store and transport gases all the time. But definetely still the fuel source of the future as fill up would be no…
Friend drove a citation in highschool, you could not kill that thing despite his best efforts. But was a piece of crap. A big indestructible piece of crap.
Yeap, didn’t need to think twice or second guess about this one. Just wish I could get it my garage.
So basically you are saying I can spend $20k on an old ugly Mustang based kit car? Yeah, no thanks. CP
If this dooms your project, you were doomed to begin with. I know of several places around me that rebuild starters and generators, complete with new windings which they do by hand. Best part, it really doesn’t cost to bad. Also, being familiar with old 6V systems from redoing several old tractors, these places can…
If I don’t know how many miles are on it, it’s an automatic crack pipe regardless as it leaves so much unknown.
6 owners, apparently not that much fun then since no one wants hang on to it.
Yes, for atonomous to actually work, it has to work in all weather conditions. So Michigan actually makes far more sense than Silicon Valley.
CP based on appearence alone, but with such low miles on it, I am concerned as the the driver seat looks like it’s seen 242k miles, not just a mere 42k. Something doesn’t add up to me.
Would I buy it, no, but considering what it is and the condition it is in for the age. I had to vote NP.
Yeap, I was going good until I got to that point and then I was done. Have to put to much money into to fix it now to be worth it.
