I definitely think there was a shift between PS1 and latter generations in terms of the sense of scale and vision for RPGs.

I’ve definitely enjoyed it, but I haven’t played it on Switch for comparison. I think it’s £280 well saved for the time being because from what I read from Digital Foundry, the differences are small enough that the Wii U version will suffice. Their comparisons were made based on only the first hour of the game though.

I think there’s a little too much info in the HUD. I wish you could customise each individual bit like you could in Witcher 3.

There has been speculation about this. I read about the higher prerenders being found in portfolio/websites of former Squaresoft USA employees. There was a massive thread in NeoGAF.
