Oh. Hmmm. A GameSpot article claimed it was. Still - $10!

Yeah, I still have BLACK FLAG waiting for me, too. I enjoy these things as long as I don't play them back-to-back, but that means they get put on the backlog longer than a lot of other things….

Holy moly, the Metroid Prime Trilogy is $10? And in 1080p? I know what I'm gonna download when I get home.

Just finished a couple of things, so I'm not completely sure what I'll be playing yet. The first thing I completed was CAPTAIN TOAD: TREASURE TRACKER, which was a lot of fun but also seems kinda slight for the $40 price tag. The other bummer is that most of the bonus levels are a drag, especially the half-baked Super

FWIW - if you're not a fan of the way the story turns out if you take an alternate route, the game lets you pick up right where you left off with the "normal" version of the story and play things out that way. So, technically, you'll miss more content if you *don't* take the shortcut. ;)

Yeah, it doesn't - but they could have at least gotten the gender right.

Well, yes and no. There's no penalty for failing to clear the question marks, and you can absolutely skip the optional bosses. However, I'm talking about an even more direct route to finishing the game. A hint: you have the option to take things in a new direction every time you reach one of the crystals.

Yeah, that's the one. I'm generally not a huge fan of silent, personality-free protagonists, but Far Cry 3 would have benefited from one.

Agreed. That's a frustrating decision, but if I ever replay it, I doubt I'm gonna bother with the "good" ending.

I've never been much of a Freddie Prinze Jr. fan, but Iron Bull is the best character in that game, imho (which is saying something when you consider the likes of Sera, Dorian, Varric, etc.). Amazing work.

This might count as a minor spoiler, but: you actually don't *have* to do all of that re-traversing to finish the game. Well, sort of. That's all I'll say. Do with that what you will.

SPOILER

Well, I finally finished playing FAR CRY 3, so I won't be playing that anymore. That was… well, that was definitely a video game, I guess. I read an interview with the creator, who said that it was intended as a satire of white savior tropes. If so, it's just about the clumsiest satire I've ever witnessed. Eeesh.

Maybe I'm just an easily-manipulated sap, but I adored this movie. Deeply humanist, beautifully acted and that ending… honestly, it kinda wrecked me. Highly recommended.

No, though he is Luchino Visconti's nephew.

I pretty much always follow my heart in games like these, but I also recognize the value of diplomacy. Basically, I'm not just going to lie to someone like Vivienne about where I stand on things, but I'm also not going to throw things that anger her in her face if I don't have to. Fortunately, the dialogue options are

Speaking of open world games…

In fairness, he compared it to "Yellow Submarine." Many, many Pharrell songs are better than "Yellow Submarine."

I was an old-time radio nerd as a kid (I bought every Radio Spirits cassette tape box set I could afford/get my hands on), and Jack Benny's program was the cream of the crop, as far as I was concerned. It really was an ensemble show despite Benny's fame and prominence, and nearly every character was funny, engaging

Ah, the action workplace comedy: two great tastes that taste terrible together.
