Is it? I meant to playfully reference a line of dialogue, not give away actual plot details. Still, I'll edit the post.

EDIT: (Unnamed Movie) spoiler alert.

Awesome news. Anthony Hopkins just hasn't been getting parts worthy of his talents on the big screen in recent years. Hopefully this will give him a chance to do some real acting again.

I know a lot of people find it bizarre and inaccessible, but I've been having a great time with Pynchonmin 3 lately. So colorful and stressful at the same time!

Nashandra is one of those bosses that felt like she ought to be pretty easy to deal with but kept killing me, anyway. Stupid curse orbs.

Also, I found The Rotten a bit tough, but I think I benefitted from being at a pretty high level by that point - he was the last boss I fought before going to Drangleic Castle for the first time. In retrospect, it would have made more sense to do the well levels before tackling Iron Keep/Shrine of Amana.

Yeah, Black Gulch was the one area that I felt really suffered from artificial difficulty. Nothing there was "tough," really, but having to constantly go back and break those little statues was a real pain.

The statue-spawning guys were giving me fits, too, until I realized that the statues wouldn't respawn after I broke them. Made things considerably easier to deal with.

I may have to go hunt down Darklurker at some point. Never encountered him during my travels through Drangleic. I also decided not to pick a fight with the ancient dragon.

I will say that it never inspired the absurd marathon sessions the first two titles did. I was generally perfectly content to play through an area, beat a boss and then put it away for a bit. It definitely doesn't offer the same stylistic leap made between the first two titles, instead building the world out of bits

Well, I just finished Dark Souls II. Had a really good time with it, though I will admit that it seemed a little easier than its predecessor - there was never a boss who gave me as many fits as Ornstein & Smough, and the immediately available fast travel + the ability to clear a difficult area after killing each enemy

Well, who directed Thor 2 and then was kicked out editing room by the powers-that-be. But still, he got his name up there!

Character A: "For years I have sought my vengeance. And now, at long last, my day of triumph has come. My knife at your throat, the tears in your eyes, the helpless cries of your children… it is as I dreamed it, only sweeter."
Character B: "Do what you must."
Character A: "Before I kill you, I must ask… what's your

I prefer Ecks.

I saw him do a bit of standup at Bonnaroo this year. Really funny, and certainly more memorable than anything he did on SNL. Maybe he'll fare better in that realm.

Dawes had their own solo set, too, of course. In all seriousness, it was one of the best shows of the fest. Sounded absolutely perfect on a breezy spring afternoon.

I saw him for the first time at the Shaky Knees Festival in Atlanta this year. I kid you not, DAWES served as his backing band. I still don't know whether or not I like him, because it was hard to pay attention to his singing while being overwhelmed by the power of DAWES.

Ah. Well, I'm glad that at least someone else found the Bed of Chaos insane. Aside from Orstein and Smough, that was probably the most maddening boss of the game for me. I couldn't believe how many folks online were insisting it was one of the easiest battles.

My feeling is that Dark Souls was more striking in terms of world design, but a lot of the technical refinements DSII has made make it slightly more appealing in terms of overall gameplay. I will say that I hated the new lock-on system in DSII until I figured out how to use it properly - now I quite like it. Really a

Agree completely. I've had some moments where I've only had 45 minutes or an hour to play, and I've found it much easier to just chip away at the game for a bit with the ability to teleport anywhere I've been at any time. Plus, it's pretty much an essential feature given that you can only level up in one location now.
