With all the crazy guys with nukes out there (besides the moron in the WH), I’d actually look forward to a President who has experience dealing with simulated launches and how to counter/mitigate them.
I am currently living in Japan and can confirm. It’s not everyone, obviously, but there are a lot of people who either try to avoid me, treat me as a novelty or are very nice but super patronizing (“wow, you know how to properly use chopsticks! Very impressive!”).
Whether they are everywhere is immaterial to this discussion, the point is that the fact that they exist on the Epic store goes directly counter Sweeney’s idealized world.
But putting it on TV, and then the internet, for the world to see? Whatever the long-term moral and ethical questions are that we’re going to have to face, this is extremely fucked up.
