When it comes to being an arrogant douche, Americans really shouldn’t be throwing stones. Glass houses and all that.

Yes, very much so. Here’s my outsider’s perspective:

... how does he assert himself as arrogant? Like... he states facts... watches as someone implodes or disputes them illogically and then restates facts. He’s not puffing up his own ego, admits when he’s not an expert in something, and is sorta not impressed by Carlson’s childish tactics.

*shrug* sounds like a legit way

Please. Show me someone who wouldn’t be grinning ear to fucking ear if they had the chance to tell Fucker Carlson off and then listen to him melt the fuck down.

When someone has something real to say, but some toad interviewer wants to control their narrative and put them in a box, sometimes the only way to regain control of the message, is to goad the toad until it hops.

Yeah, I’ve noticed that weird open mouth that he is pretending this is something he’s hearing for the first time.

Wouldn’t call him an arrogant douche. Just a guy who doesn’t give a shit about Carlson’s power and mocking him for just trying to steamroll the conversation.

Fuck that. Nothing wrong with wielding the moral high ground.

I would add “and not comprehending what is happening” to that scenario but it fits.

Tucker Carlson’s thoughtful expression always looks like he’s watching two dogs 69ing off in the distance

He seems like he knows what he's talking about and is confident. You think being smart is arrogant?

I’ve been reading about the Dutch. Culturally they just don’t put up with much bullshit. They can be considered “abrupt" by people not used to their ways.

Eh, I’ll give Bregman a pass for the sheer joy of seeing Tucker Carlson losing his shit.

Wow that gave me pleasure tingles. Good work Rutger Bregman. If cable news cared about entertaining and informing he would have a show.

Because America—or, at least, an unreasonably powerful minority of America—still believes that A) abstinence-only works in every situation; and, B) teens give a fuck what adults think.

Pretty fucking saintly college shit, to be honest.

I really haven’t done any research on this, but it also seems that having this restriction actually leads to more binge drinking and not learning responsible drinking because everyone is sneaking around to do it.  There is the allure is something that is not allowed.

Some American laws are just utterly ridiculous. You can drink stuff like wine at 16 here. I suppose having 18 as the minimum age would make some sense, but why does the “land of the free” forbid adults from drinking alcohol for 3 more years?

I thought the Bush girls were fine, and she’s fine too. Let them have some fun.

So.... normal college shit???
