Are you trying to tell me the kid isn't wearing blackface because of these completely separate pictures of Raiders fans?

You can’t say “you don’t wish him harm”

I’m not defending the doxxing or death threats. But after watching this interview, and reading Mr. Sandmann’s other statements, I believe how it looks is pretty much how it was. He has said that he felt Mr. Phillips targeted him for confrontation. Yet in the video of Phillips approaching the students Sandmann is not

they—like he—come from a school that does not “tolerate racism””

If you read interviews with Phillips (the “Native American guy”), he says he approached them to try to deescalate the situation. They then began to harass him, apparently misunderstanding his intentions. So it definitely started out in a confusing way, but surely you can see why chanting “build the wall” at a Native

Yeah, the Hebrew Israelites tend to just harass everyone, and I’m pretty sure that the Southern Poverty Law Center recognizes them as a hate group, so it’s not like people are denying that they’re bigots. Just that we already know they’re bigots, and it doesn’t give the Covington students an excuse to then go be

I’m counting the days until David Hogg runs for office.

The hostility isn’t really about what he did. Entitled, rage-inducing smirks are entirely legal, and we’d have to throw every teenager in jail if they weren’t.  It’s about a busload of Chads from Saint Brettster of the Boof’s Date Rape Academy digging into the 100% tax-deductible collection plate at Our Lady of

He deserves all this vitriol and more. No one in this damn age can claim to be so insulated that they don’t know EXACTLY what they were doing there, wearing those hats and chanting ‘build the wall’.

I feel like that conservative PR team pushed us to focus on him and we did and now they can say, “See? He didn’t really do anything” and wash their hands of the whole incident. We should have been focused on the (1) teen mob as a whole and their racist actions as a whole, not this guy and (2) the other videos of them

I’m a middle school teacher and we took our kids to see The Hate U Give in theaters. Before we got off the bus, I told them that if I heard a single negative comment from a member of the public at the food court (where we were eating lunch), a worker at the mall or at the movie theater, not only would I immediately

That was my immediate response - it is somehow divisive for Obama to show empathy for a person of color but but not French to do the same damn thing for a white kid.

I think they aren’t mentioned as instigators because the teens weren’t responding to them. They were responding to Phillips. If they had a problem with those guys shouting, maybe they should have taken it up with them? Not someone who was trying to get between them to relieve the tension.

So many high school kids come to DC and wear the MAGA hats. It’s incredibly offensive, and all the little shits know it.

“As David French put itin the National Review, when he sees “activists” trying to “destroy” Covington boys, he thinks: “That could be my son.”

What’s it like being this naive in TYOOL 2019?

Regardless of whether he’s being truthful - and speaking as a kid who was often caught out (not being a racist asshole but sneaking out/going somewhere else than I said I was going/oh gee, no! I haven’t been drinking’/etc.) and lied like the wind to cover my ass, I don’t think he entirely is - I think this is a

Yes, he does deserve vitriol and it is a product of his current generation. Every teenager has a phone, every phone has a camera, and every camera is pointed at whatever drama it can capture. He was being an entitled little prick on camera and pretending that he was scared is not believable.

His classmates, are not “racist people,” they—like he—come from a school that does not “tolerate racism.”
