An Amazon gift card is the one of the most cash-like gift cards you could ever receive. Virtually no difference in liquidity for an additional 25%? I’d say its a no-brainer, but you and others are demonstrating it can’t be that simple.

Are you really this bad at basic finances? Why would you take the gift card then discount the entire extra amount? Take off 5% and you’re still up 20% in my CA example.
“The “free money” of a 401k match is compounded exponentially over your working career so you most certainly shouldn’t pass that up.”
Again, you can…
I take it you can’t control your spending on Amazon? That’s the only way someone would be against free money. Don’t project your poor financial decisions onto others.
I literally qualified my post with “If you spend money on Amazon”.
This isn’t about the growth of the 401k, this is about the “free money” that constitutes the match. You could similarly sell your amazon gift card and place the cash into an interest gaining account.
The real advice of the article should be “don’t buy useless shit with your tax return”. Not “give up free money because…
“Because putting your tax refund on a gift card means that you’ll spend it on new purchases instead of using the money to pay down debt, build up your emergency fund, or save for the future.”
By the same logic, screw your 401k match! You’re just locking up your money that could have been used to pay down debt! Right?
I don’t necessarily have a problem with some ignorant Chinese kid not understanding why that shit is racist. But fuck him. When confronted with why it is racist; he just says the woman is wrong instead of fucking learning. Ignorance is fine; choosing to remain ignorant (and racist in this case) makes you trash.
If its high pitched enough, it could be a rodent deterrent.
This is the car I bought (different year), at the price I paid. Even has the same shitty aftermarket shifter knob that I use on mine.
From experience; let me say: CRACK PIPE.
That said, money aside, now that everything is fixed and the car is paid off, I love it. But this car at this price is not a financially…
I imagine the life will be much longer. Range might drop over time, but the drivetrain and batteries should function for much longer than an ICE vehicle.
I have a turbo (WRX) and I also don’t get why they are the standard over SC... They seem worse, from a complexity and timing standpoint. My only guess is that the waste pressure is simply so much energy that they feel obligated to use it to meet some standard.
My thought has always been that the people that know its a Chevy engine don’t care, because its the engine that matters, not the badge; and the people that would care, don’t know enough about the vehicle to know it isn’t a Cadillac engine.
Once again proving that Yellow is the worst color for a car.
A whole lot of lakes are about to appear in Canada’s permafrost regions. Invest now.
History won’t remember that fake Merick Garland as a legit judge anyway.
These are conflicting statements:
Crack Pipe.
Who would buy a house in Florida next to water in 2020 in the timeline where Al Gore couldn’t stop climate change?
Cadillac says those screens have the pixel density of a 4K tv for super high resolution.
Because big grilles look good on trucks?
If the X7 was boxy like this instead of looking like an overinflated 7 series, maybe I’d see your point.
As a Cadillac fan; I think that just means your eyes are working. Escalades have never been “attractive”.
