I’m sorry you’re going through that. It’s a devastating thing.

As much as I appreciate the KFILE and actually never read the Examiner (that commentary is from Marcus Johnson’s feed) - support for George Wallace or lack of support for George Wallace doesn’t eliminate this part

This is trending because, instead of acknowledging that Hot Girls for Bernie was fucked up, it’s there way of saying, “NO it’s NOT fucked up! Because guys are doing it too! No sexism in this campaign! Equality!” And that’s not cute.

Also, if she knew it was a longshot win, then she’d be stuck with the “Taylor’s losing face” stories.

You forgot to mention in your review of Taylor Swift’s year that her mother was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. Maybe TS is choosing to hang out with her instead of attending events where every time her name is mentioned it’s followed up with a mention of Kanye West being a dick to her.

don’t forget about whispering

So... green hair dye, auto-tune, and hot topic fashions are exclusively “hers”?

i can accept that both the music and fashion are simply not “my thing” (except her hair, which i actually really like), but i’m unable to see the profound brilliance in her words and every move that so many other people gush about when her name comes up. i think it’s fine that she’s not 100% eloquent and perfect all

Are there really that many people who think Billie Eilish is just going to show up at their random mall?

Ditto. I looked at the offers of COBRA and immediately filed those in the Nope folder. Then, of course, the NY State plan that I chose ran out of money and closed up shop a month before I was technically eligible for health care under my new employer.

Businesses only purpose is to make money. Expecting them to “just be nice” is foolish to a point I can barely fathom.

Vote better. Regulate more. Stop waiting for businesses to do the right thing because, by their very definition, they never will.

JoJo wasn’t a Nazi. Calling him that over and over doesn’t make him one. Please fully research the topic of children in the Hitler Youth programs.

When I starting reading this “review” I thought it was a joke but then realized most of the film just flew over your head.

I have health insurance through my good union job, and it’s still $600/month. I can’t even imagine how I’d keep that coverage if I wasn’t working.

The nice thing about COBRA is that you only need to buy it if you need it, IE, after an incident. You gotta pay full boat, but COBRA will keep typically keep you from bankruptcy

The first time I had the COBRA talk with a benefits rep, I reflexively responded to the monthly amount with, “Oh my gosh, you’re joking”. To which she deadpanned, “No. I am very serious”.
Needless to say, I did without the coverage.

I know multiple people who stay in terrible jobs where they are unhappy simply because the healthcare is so good. Most of them get that this is evil, but a few genuinely seem to think and accept its just the way it is and that there’s no better option.

This is what I’ve been advocating for years. An employer shouldn’t be responsible for their employees’ health insurance. An employee shouldn’t be forced to stay at a job they hate or is killing their soul just to make sure sure their child can get their insulin, or that their chemo is covered.

“healthcare should not be tied to employment.”

Yep. And then multiply by however many people are in your family. COBRA sucks and is a sucky system.
