The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People briefly considered using Colvin’s case to challenge the segregation laws, but they decided against it because of her age. She also had become pregnant and they thought an unwed mother would attract too much negative attention in a public legal battle.

Does Parks say anything about Claudette Colvin? I’d rather read Claudette Colvin: Twice Toward Justice.

i don’t have a license and don’t drive but could still be very good at it. we just don’t know! if i tried driving people might say: “wow, she’s so naturally good at driving”

This was the first thing that entered my mind. Big Conscious Uncoupling Energy.

Hesitant to watch this. I grew up with a mother who was an alcoholic and who died at a young age of her addiction because everybody was in denial and didn’t do anything about it. I didn’t get any help when I tried to address the issue with family members when I realized at age 16 that something was seriously wrong in

“looks good on every thin, full busted white body!”

I’ve never understood everyone’s need to make her into some kind of sympathetic figure or quasi-ally. She is not those things. She never has been.

Is sock designer the low ball entry into fashion design?

And, from his garret in Calabasas, Rob Kardashian pouts in a corner.

Melania is the third wife of a wealthy man with a history of adultery and sexual abuse. She knows exactly where she stands, and so do we.

Friend-zoning yourself

Being snarky about Macaulay Culkin’s childhood is a pretty bad look. He got chewed up as a child star and had an abusive father who stole a lot if his money. He’s also dealt with drug problems, but let’s be sarcastic about how hard he’s had it. I’m just glad he seems to be doing relatively well these days.

How self aware is he if he thinks most women wouldn’t cry if their spouse/so got shot and was near death? He’s self-aware his wife doesn’t give 2 sh$ts about him, but that’s about it. He has her all tied up with the pre-nup.

I got as far as “Emma Watson turning 30" and got too distracted by my joints creaking to read any farther.

Can you help explain "wasn't not sober"? The wording is really throwing me off. She was more affectionate while sober or while drunk?

100%. I feel like it’s made me extra vigilant about people’s intoxication in general. Like, a huge red flag to me is when someone has smoked weed before meeting me and I wasn’t expecting them to be high (like, it’s an important dinner/meaningful event or something). I just get the same edgy feeling, even if there’s no

Almost no one loses multiple homes to tornadoes. Devastating tornadoes rarely strike the exact same place twice. It’s not totally unheard of, and some people might be extremely unfortunate, but it’s super rare. Even tornado alleys that see a high number of twisters rarely get hit by F-2s through F-4s again and again.

I don’t know, to the best of my knowledge, a man named Michael Esposito...I don’t like him using my name to build his consulting company, or whatever. Please advise his clients and Administration officials accordingly.

Exactly this. The way “until she’s done grieving her dead dog” is written in a cruel tone - I don’t even like “until she’s done grieving” because grief is a long process and isn’t just magically finished at some point. This loss has changed her, as she wrote herself. A little part of that grief will always be with

I was going to make that joke, but was unsure - thank you for validating my original gut feeling.
