Hey, I know this kid looks a bit douchey (okay maybe more than a bit), but he actually seems like a good dude. He’s legit, and is a really positive kid with a great attitude in a sport where it seems to be more of a competition about who can be the bigger douche than who’s the best fighter.

So, the pendulum should be swung in completely the opposite direction to make up for the past? Gotcha.

I don’t know who you’re hanging around, but no one I know thought it didn’t deserve the awards it received (especially in the actors’ categories). That said, I’ll take the bait on this one. This movie is the perfect example of what I’m talking about. To me, it felt like a movie that was made to exploit white guilt

I don’t think that’s what is being said. The point is that a not great movie is a not great movie and saying it doesn’t make the person speaking an asshole or a racist simply because the not great movie was made by a minority.

Perry does straight comedies. (Not tragic comedies or dramadies. But straight comedies.) When was the last time a straight comedy won an Oscar? Even the Academy has its limits.

Say what you want about Tarantino, but he’s right about this. Selma was a very good “made for TV” movie, but it certainly wasn’t Oscar worthy. Listen, I know I’m going to get heat for this, but can we please stop with the praising and gushing and awarding e v e r y s i n g l e movie about the suffering of minorities?

Tarantino is right. Selma gave more of a made for tv vibe than being an overwhelming visual and intellectual work of art, worthy of an Oscar. It also did not connect with the audience (grossed just over $50 million domestically), despite very good reviews and the fact that Ava DuVernay as one of very few black female

There’s so much evidence out there, but you won’t believe it because most of it comes from conservative sources. Listen, I’m as a liberal democrat as they come, but this is one instance where the media got it completely wrong. If you don’t believe me, maybe you would believe Mark Cuban? He says he spoke to Ahmed

Killer Mike for President!

And fuck his parents too.

A simple Google search will show you all the answers you’re looking for. Listen I was right there with you at first, but when I looked into it further & actually researched it for 15 minutes I realized this family is just as bad as all the racist redneck bigoted Texans.

First of all his family has a very long history of shit stirring. He didn’t make a homemade clock, he took apart an exsisting clock & made it look “suspicious” on purpose to elicit a response & possibly knowing he might even be arrested. His sister was suspended for making bomb threats at her school. His family are

Finally some sensibility in this thread. Holy cow, I know Texans are nuts, but they happen to be right in this case.

You obviously haven't read the entire story regarding this kid and his family because of you had you would be saying the opposite. And this is coming from someone that can't stand right wing nut jobs from Texas.

Fuck him.

Fuck that. This was the best thing that ever happened to this kid, and he was in no way ‘damaged’ to the point of 15 million dollars.

Actually, its worst side effect is a false rape charge from the regret.

You didn’t think one of the biggest apparel companies in the world, that has dealt with countless sports leagues (including the NFL) for decades, wouldn’t know there was an almost certainty that he would get fined, and it would be a huge story? I mean, they only had several examples of this happening in the past. In

Ugh. I’m not sure why I’m responding because all you ever do is double and triple down on your idiocy. I guess I’m a glutton for punishment. You ask me if I read you posts, however, you keep repeating the same stupid thing: “The NFL already allows exceptions”. Yes, I know, which is exactly what I said several times,
