Leto's Joker somehow gets worse with every passing minute he's on screen. Some terrible characters just kind of start terrible and stay terrible, but this guy starts terrible and just keeps shooting downwards.

I love this too much.

I feel like the consensus for Age of Ultron was that it wasn't all that great (while not sucking). It doesn't have a bad RT score, but I definitely remember being let down by the lukewarm reception before the movie opened.

People complained about that in the Avengers movies too, they just got positive reviews because they actually had other good things about them.

Black Phillip is a good one! He inspires me to live deliciously.

Tituss Burgess as a Ghostbuster would guarantee a ticket purchase from yours truly.

Plus And Those We've Left Behind, Welcome to Westfield, Worlds Apart…

Totally agree about Season 2 vs. Season 3 largely being a peaks vs. consistency argument. I also agree that Season 5 is a contender for best season, though my personal favourite is Season 6, which I expect nobody to agree with.

That's very true, Fox kept Fringe alive for about 2 years past its expiration date on any other network, and gave it a proper sendoff season to boot. I've always has a certain respect for Fox for that, plus they kept friggin' Dollhouse on for 2 seasons which was probably 2 seasons too many (not that I mind, I'm one of

Really interesting to see a Top 5 without "Peter". I've always thought of that episode as the emotional and narrative epicentre of the entire series.

Buffy Season 6
Angel Season 4

I wish Fringe had a real, beginning-to-end "peak season". I like every season, and 3 is almost definitely the best (despite an arguably weak final half-dozen episodes), but man, if the run from about Season 2's Jacksonville to Season 3's Entrada were one season, it would be downright unimpeachable. No single defined

Man, I hated the first Purge. The second one and this one sound kinda cool though, over-the-top but in a fun way.

And Happy Endings! Never forget.

Fuck, even in a particularly terrible year for celebrity deaths, this one hits hard. He was so young and had such a promising career ahead of him, which has now been cut short. This is truly upsetting.

The Fright Night remake was great! I had such a crush on him in that movie, too. Maybe I'll watch it again tonight.

Her Random Roles interview here is one of the very best. She seems wonderful.

This is my easy pick for Song of the Summer™ as well. It's so fun, so catchy, endlessly relistenable - everything the title requires.

No, she isn't in Remender's version, at least not in significant role.

Cabin in the Woods. That rush of excitement and disbelieving laughter when the elevator doors open at the climax is one of my favourite theatre memories ever (and the movie holds up just fine on the small screen).
