I'll mostly being do digital. I find it way more convenient to have multiple games on hand with a portable.

They should still bring the UMD redemption service to the states. They'd still be collecting money from the process. His point about the prices of the games between redemption and buying "new" (don't know if you can really call digital new, since there isn't an old) being relatively equivalent isn't a good point.
I'm very happy with the design. Now, I'm just sad she's not like that in the first two games. I wonder if they patch her in through DLC.
I agree that citing the original sources of inspiration for game design. I rarely read in a preview of a game with developer quotes the games they played and thought "That's great, but if I did this to it, it could be that much better. So, I put it in our game."
Once again, I agree with you on principle. The Bioshock Infinite example is something I completely agree with. When a player picks a path, different events could occur based on that path. I trace that design back to Star Fox 64. I'm sure some other game did it too, but I'm not aware of it.
Actually, I think the Online Pass for Kingdoms of Amalur is bad because it doesn't block ENOUGH content.
Yup. Another great example of East VS West game design. East has style, West has substance. The two rarely mix. I really just want a Western developer to hire a japanese art team and make a game. That's my dream. The Metroid Prime series is the best example of East meets West I can think of.
The selling points include all the points. However, like you've said, we've seen it all before.
I agree with your point. Although, Skyrim plays is a very different fashion from any numbered FF game.
I don't know if Chrono Trigger had the "stage select" like FF13-2 does. I think you had to completely replay to experiment with different options. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I don't know if a score really makes the point with what is actually a problem with this game. This is all based on what I've read and played from the Demo. I am buying the game because I believe it's solid, I want to experience it, I want to give it a chance to surprise me.
I'm not a fan of the inclusion of monster collecting. I know its a tried and true mechanic, but it lacks all imagination. Absolutely no innovation to the idea seems to be present in this game. Very disappointing.
That scene with the kid was brilliant. They better not take that out.
However, you example of SC2 was more fair because each system got one exclusive character. This is one system missing four.
Good to see Nintendo getting in the game.
Could the NFC tech be responsible for the way the Wii U pad communicates with the Wii U system? Is it blue-tooth or proprietary signal like Xbox controllers?
Hmmm...This sends the wrong message to long time Mega Man fans and potential new fans.
I'm all for the rename. I wonder if they still want to keep the Wii branding though, cosidering all the Wii controllers work with it.
The puzzles look like there is potential for great brain teasers. The Casino looks like a total add-on, but it sounds like a lot of DLC is going to expand it anyways.
I was pleased that Mortal Kombat was great. I was content with Sonic Generations, though they need to just keep refining the game from there.
