I think the gems system is a fine addition. Customization can help balance out the power of characters that might be otherwise under-powered based on their standard stats. I think that is also the point where most people are having a problem.

I'm not sure how the localization process works currently, but can't they do localization alongside development of the "standard" language? Couldn't that lower cost and speed up release time frames?

You can be mad about the quick price drop, but as an early adopter, you have to be aware that bundles, alternate colors, and special editions come later. Don't feel jilted there. Also, I think the policy has changed and Ambassador titles will be transferable.
Yes I do agree with Bioware's strategy at best, even though I haven't bought much of their DLC.
I understand that developer studios can be made of teams and how their work can finish well before the launch of the game they were working on.
I think the issue people are complaining about with DLC is that the way the industry markets it, the perceived value of core product doesn't match the real-world price.
