The difference is the two arguing are not my friends. They’re essentially a contractor and subcontractor fighting over their split in the contract whose price is already set in stone.

Sure, it’s more stable, but diff ground clearance is actually a weakness of a solid axle, not a strength.
“I think Jeep’s bullet point about the front differential maintaining more stable ground clearance is a bit dubious”
I think the problem to address here is the idea that they want EVs to entirely replace ICE cars. Convenience tends to win out over saving the planet with your average consumer. I can’t always expect that my electric car can reliably take me on a cross-country road trip should I decide on a whim to go; at least not…
even at 900 volts that’s over 300 amps. doable, but you ain’t gonna be getting that at home. and I hope the CCS connectors are durable over the life of the vehicle.
Eh, that’s a bit overblown. Don’t buy the first model year of an entirely new platform or entirely new drivetrain. And don’t buy the first year of a new Sync system. Neither of these have a new drivetrain. Bronco is modified Ranger platform, not sure what the baby Bronco is built off of. There’s not going to be any…
Something in me doesn’t want to like the Sport, maybe a knee-jerk reaction thinking it must be too watered down to be good, but every version with the Bronco name seems impressive, fun, and interesting in one way or another. I’ve never really wanted anything to do with an SUV until this released, but these seem to be…
I can not wait to get my 2 door 7 speed Big Bend! I’m going with Velocity Blue, which is a late availability color so it’ll be awhile.
Photos and videos rarely do justice to the difficulty of an off-road course. The slope never looks as steep and the rocks never look as large on video as they do in real life.
I sure hope Ford does a better job launching the Bronco and Bronco Sport than they did with the Explorer.
This is 100% Ford’s approach, it is stated exactly as such in their info for dealers.
No photos of the challenging parts of the courses?
That is why it made me smile. I have read them all at least 30 times.
@carlovs, yes.
I think they’ll be 2 very distinct markets (I think the Sport might end up the bigger market, but still)
You need to read the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy if you haven’t. It’ll take you an afternoon and it is well worth it.
People have been clamoring for a “rugged” small SUV from Ford since they turned the Escape into the Kuga. It blew my mind when I was selling Fords back then that people were coming in demanding the old one. Id talk them out of it by having the old Escape and the new one parked next to each other and telling them to…
So with the Bronco Sport releasing, any bets on how long the comparatively sad-sack looking Escape lasts? It seems like they are both going after the same market price and size wise and I really can’t imagine who would take an Escape when they could have the Bronco Sport.
“Prominently featured on the dash were a row of hand buttons for locking the front or rear differentials, or engage Trail Turn Assist”
“hung in the air much the same way that bricks don’t.”
I mean, I can’t star the author, but this absolutely made my day.
