Oh, I forgot to add; he and I went to school together for a year in middle school, and apparently I signed one of his folders saying we were friends or something in 7th grade. He is pissed because apparently, 35 years later when I'm not thrilled about talking to him, that means it was a "fake friendship."

I used to work in an office with a middle-aged dude (so he had no excuse other than either being too damn dumb to learn anything or not caring to) who once asked me to come in and fix his computer so that he could just double click on an icon and get "a clean piece of paper."

The Stevie Nicks/Pretenders concert was awesome last Friday. Stevie is wonderful as ever, The Pretenders rocked as ever, and Stevie and Chrissie duetted on Stop Dragging My Heart Around. And I got to attend the concert with a girlfriend I love dearly and only get to see once a year if I'm lucky.

I too watched The Gong Show every day in my childhood summers. I'd sit in my parents' bedroom in front of their window AC unit, watch The Gong Show, and laugh my fool head off. My parents never really liked my watching it, but never told me not to outright.

I tend to look at this site as providing me with two things: pop culture info and laughter. "your shitty parents" made me laugh out loud, so as far as I'm concerned, they did their job as appropriately as necessary there.
